Upright Bass Tailpieces

Sound Composites offers extremely durable and (optionally) remarkably lightweight upright (3.9 oz./109.5 gram) bass carbon composite tailpieces. For upright basses, a tailpiece of lower mass may or may not improve the instrument’s responsiveness and tone generation. Therefore we offer two model embodiments. These tailpieces may be provided with an attractive exposed carbon fiber with gloss finish, or alternately an Ebony-looking satin black. No tailpiece cable (tailgut) is included.
