Steinberger has changed its neck models over the decades. This is due to the re-design of their headpieces and the shelve style on which they mount. Additionally, there is a difference in the shape of the heel between the Steinberger models that were made for carbon fiber necks and those originally made for wood Spirit necks. Moses offers specific models for each of these styles, and also offers a dedicated Moses headpiece model as well:
