Sound Composites offers extremely durable and (optionally)remarkably lightweight (1.68 oz./47 gram) carbon graphite composite cello tailpieces. On cello’s (and violins) only, a tailpiece of lower mass generally vastly improves the instrument’s responsiveness and tone generation. These tailpieces are offered with an attractive exposed carbon fiber with gloss finish, r alternately with a Ebony-looking satin black finish.  No tailpiece cable (tailgut) included.
